EricBeaty.com: The New Home for My Blog Content

Seeing as how my content interests are constantly evolving, I decided to migrate my future blog posts over to my new website at www.EricBeaty.com.

There’s a new blog in town!

I’m excited to announce to everyone the launch of my new blog!  In December of 2014, I decided if I was going to continue creating helpful, motivational, and inspirational content, these types of posts needed their own home.  Here at www.SecretsofTexasBluesGuitar.com, I was seeing a pattern of blog posts that were moving away from the main focus of the site: Texas Blues Guitar and lead playing for electric guitar.

So I decided that in order to not bloat this website with too much unrelated content, I needed to create a new place—a central hub, as it were—for this new content.  This is where my newly launched website at www.EricBeaty.com comes in.

What you can expect from EricBeaty.com

The best way to describe the focus of my new blog is that there are multiple areas I want to stay focused on.  With the advent of my new goals for 2015, I’ve found my passions are evolving in a few directions other than just guitar.

Some of the example topics of interest you will find on the site are:

Note: These are all found and discussed in depth on my “Start Here” (aka “About” page) area of my new blog.

What’s in store for SoTBG.com

Because of the latest achievements of launching my new blog, the completion of the Webisodes for Bluegrass Guitar Essentials course (and soon-coming DVDs), and now multiple writing projects, www.SecretsofTexasBluesGuitar.com has been unfortunately sitting on the back burner.

My main focus for this site has been my Totally FREE Guitar Newsletter, which has been doing very well.  However, there are some changes I hope to make with the newsletter which will involve a lot of work.  Once I get a better idea of the directions I need to take for the newsletter, I plan on creating a post here on SoTBG.com to let everyone know of the new updates.

With all the constant demands on my time (my YouTube channel, three websites, private lessons, etc.), SoTBG.com has suffered.  I’ve needed a site redesign and streamlining for quite a while now (support for my site theme expired nearly a year ago).  Because of this, I’ve been considering hiring a website developer from oDesk for a while.  Well, recently I heard about a site called WPCurve.com which has 24/7 web development services for a great low price (compared to hourly freelancers).

So I’ve decided to finally bite the bullet and get some help.  This way, I don’t have to worry about re-coding everything from the ground up, fixing all the little bugs here and there, ranking for better SEO, and keeping things running smoothly.  And with WPCurve, there’s a 30 day money back guarantee!

Once I get SoTBG.com running smoothly again and ranking better in the search engines, I’ll probably get the guys at WPCurve to do the same with my other sites.  I can cancel at any time, so I don’t have to worry about continual maintenance, which is something I can do on my own once the sites are streamlined for me on the backend.

Here’s to the future

So, there you have it.  In summary:

  • If you want to keep up with the main content I’ll be creating, head on over to EricBeaty.com and subscribe to the blog.
  • If you want to stay in the loop when I create new electric guitar videos, SoTBG.com and the newsletter is the place to be.  Also, don’t forget I have a great ebook packed with tons of Simple Tips to Improve Your Guitar Playing NOW!!!
  • Lastly, if you would like to venture out into acoustic guitar territory, check out my newly released course Bluegrass Guitar Essentials and subscribe to the mailing list on the site to stay updated as to when the DVD version will be releasing.

Thanks so much for tuning in, and I look forward to meeting you over at my new website www.EricBeaty.com
